C-Shield 2% Skin Prep

Composition:

Each 100g Contains

• Chlorhexidine Gluconate : 10% v/v (Equivalent to Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2% w/v)
• Isopropyl Alcohol : 70% v/v Excipients q.s

Summary:
C-Shield skin prep is an ideal surgical prepping agent which disinfects the skin appropriately. It helps in the prevention of vascular catheter Associated infection and surgical site infections.

Area of Application:

• Before and during cauterization and during dressing changes.
• Preparation of patient’s skin prior to surgery.
• Intravenous site preparation.
• Surgical site cleaning after stitching.
• Treatment of skin prior to covering fractures with cast.
• C-Shield skin prep is a complete antiseptic and needs no additional support for dressing minor surgeries.

• Rapid healing of skin after surgery on it helps prevent infection.
• It has residual effect throughout the procedure.

• C-Shield skin prep is microbicidal against all bacteria including MRSA, Fungi and viruses.
• C-Shield skin prep is highly effective in the prevention of CRBSI and CVC colonization.
• C-Shield skin prep can be used to clean the side prior to cvc insertion and also the maintenance of catheters.
• C-Shield skin prep does not need more than 1 wet swab: highly economical for preparation of surgical skin.

Directions for use:

• Ready to use without dilution.
• Use externally and undiluted only.
• Skin Disinfection: Wet the skin with swab of C-Shield skin prep , the area to be disinfected and allow to dry.
• Dries up quickly within 30 seconds.
• Exposure time at least 15 sec.

Precautions:

• Store in a cool Place, protect from light.
• Keep out of eyes and reach of children.
